Review 1 (LP1) - DAVID MAILAND

W3CSschools.com

  1. DOES THE SITE'S HOME PAGE VALIDATE?

  2. No, I received 7 errors and 63 warnings when I validated.

  3. FIND ANY OTHER PAGE ON THE SITE. DOES THE SECOND PAGE VALIDATE?

  4. No, it didn't either. I tried the java script tutorial link and received similar results as the home page.

  5. DOCUMENT HOW MANY VALIDATION ERRORS AND/OR WARNINGS THAT MAY EXIST ON EACH OF THE TWO PAGES YOU VALIDATE.

  6. Both pages had 7-8 errors and 60+ warnings; most or all of the errors I did not recognize the syntax.

  7. HOW WOULD YOU RATE THE SITE'S DESIGN, ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10, AND WHY?

  8. I would rate the site's design around a '7', but I have no authority to pass judgement.
The design could use some updating to be more inviting to the potential
student who is browsing(or purchasing). The site could use a more modern layout, style, and use of color,
but the overall page seemed very functional, practical, and in a logical order.
I found it very easy to navigate the site to find what I was interested in.

  9. HOW WOULD YOU RATE THE SITE'S USABILITY ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10 AND WHY?

  10. I believe the site's usability is an 8. I am subject to believe there is a different/better way to display
or present the website to make it easier to navigate and use, but, again, I am no judge on the hard work that went into that code.
In my opinion, the content could be more attractively presented, user-friendlier, and more enticing towards their audience, especially to sell tutorships.

  11. DOES THE SITE MEET ITS PURPOSE?

  12. Yes, I believe so. The website is presented in a very easy-to-use format. The content is pertinent to our studies, and it appears that it may be a good source of info for future projects!
